"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High.”

Every good thing has great benefits. Therefore, if thanksgiving is a good thing as we see in our scriptural text today, then it is something worth preparing for. The conscious effort of deliberately planning how, where, and with what to thank the Lord is crucial to offering an acceptable thanksgiving to God.

Of much importance is the preparation of your heart. Begin to recount the blessings of God in your life since the year began. Praise Him for every good thing you can remember. Also begin to say with all your heart, ‘I will not cease from praising you O Lord with every passing day’. Even more, clear your schedules to ensure you participate in this year’s Annual Thanksgiving. You can also prepare to give a special seed of gratitude to the Lord.

Set yourself up for maximum benefits this season by preparing your heart and your substance to thank God. Start early to invite your loved ones to join you as you appear before God to thank Him even with your substance on the set day. God is about to crown your year with goodness as you do this. Say Amen!
