(Ephesians 3:20)
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”

Where asking and receiving from God is concerned, many believers only know that there is a God in heaven who answers prayers. Well, that is true and valid, yet, there is a deeper truth which our text today opens our eyes to: God is able to eQven surpass our expectations. Glory!

Our God is a God of addition. When Jesus taught about giving and receiving, He stated in clear terms that a greater measure would be given back to anyone who offers to God. (Luke. 6:38)The practice of giving to God without expecting a harvest of multiple blessings is not consistent with the God kind of faith. When we worship, thank or praise God, it is faith to expect His blessing to follow.

So we see that it is faith, not greed, to approach God with full assurance that He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we have asked or given. Therefore, do not hesitate to come before Him today thanking Him for the harvest that lay ahead. Expect more because there is abundance coming!
