THE CONTENT OF WORSHIP

(Psalm 96:9)
“O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.”

Often times, many believers find it difficult to clearly define what worship really means, or how to differentiate it from praise and thanksgiving. This can be a lot easier when you think about the three in terms of their content.
When the content of what you do is based on who God is, that is worship. When it is based on what God has done, that is thanksgiving. But when it is based on what God can do, you are in praise. Did you get that? Worship is therefore not about the pace of the song we sing to God, it is seeing God as He is and falling in reverence to Him. Glory to God!
Thus, we see that the focus in worship is on who God is the adoration of His holiness and majesty. It is the ideal and utmost pursuit of every child of God, to be in His presence and see Him as He is, so we may bow in reverential awe and worship. What a sweet pursuit!

We are praying that missionaries will arise from Lesotho to reach other surrounding nations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Dear Father, I thank you for bringing to me the revelation of who you are. You are holy, holy, holy. I consecrate my whole self to you and I ask that you cause me to partake of your holiness and your power even as It worship you today in the beauty of holiness, in Jesus Name. Amen.
